Getting There

Travel by ferry from the City, get on your bike and ride, take the train or travel by car.

The Punt will take cyclists across the river from Port Melbourne (Fishermans Bend) to Spotswood, just behind Scienceworks. Commuter service operates Monday to Friday 6.30am to 9.30pm and 4pm to 7pm. Weekend service operates 10am to 5pm. http://www.westgatepunt.com/

Get out and about and Discover Your Own Backyard today. Drop into the Visitor Information Centre located in Commonwealth Reserve, Nelson Place, Williamstown to speak with local volunteers who can assist you with ideas for things to see and do.

Free Heritage Walking Tours

6th September to 29th November

Tenacious tall ship

From 14 August
Tenacious is one of only two tall ships in the world designed to be sailed by a crew with widely varied physical abilities. Every aspect of shipboard life is available to all, from setting the sails, going aloft and helming the ship.  

Public sail Days in November are  Saturday 19th November Sunday 20th November, and Sunday 27th November.

Williamstown Christmas Night Market

9th December

Presented by the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce. Celebrate the festive season at Williamstown, with vibrant and beautiful shops and hospitality Christmas style, including face painting, music, a visit from Santa and lots of local stores open for business. Held from 6pm to 9pm in Ferguson Street and Douglas Parade.

Being held at Logan Reserve, Pier Street Altona from 7.15 pm. Bring a chair, picnic rug. Candles and programs for sale. Presented by Altona Laverton Council of Churches. Carols will move to St Mary's Catholic Church in the event of inclement weather.

Outdoors at the Trafalgar Avenue Community Park, Altona Meadows from 7.00pm Children’s activities and pre carol entertainment from 7.00pm, Carols from 8.00pm to 9.30pm. Candles for sale. Bring a picnic rug or chair. Carols will take place indoors at Trafalgar Avenue Community Centre in the event of inclement weather. 

2016 Victorian Open Water Championship - WOW Challenge

Saturday 17 December

Williamstown Swimming and Life Saving Club, in conjunction with Altona Swimming Club, are hosting the 2016 Victorian Open Water Championships at Williamstown Beach.  The Championships are the peak open Water swimming event in Victoria.  This premier swimming event will also incorporate a community participation swimming event, the Williamstown Open Water Challenge (WOW Challenge).  Enjoy a great day out with a range of activities, entertainment, retail and food vendors.  For further information visit www.williamstownslsc.org.au/open-water-championships/

Altona Miniature Railway Public Open Day
