Lantern Ghost Tours - Ghosts of the Old City Williamstown

Friday and Saturdays 8.30pm to 10.30pm

Explore King William's Town, the original capital of Victoria, by lamp light. Steeped with history, apparitions, alleyways and lager it was once a thriving town full of colourful ladies, drunken sailors and convicts. Visit abandoned morgues, forgotten burial grounds and hidden laneways in Victoria's most historic seaport. Visit Victoria's oldest morgue and Australia's Timeball Tower. Newport Folk Festival 

29th June to 1st July

Newport Folk Festival is back for its 11th year with a wonderful line-up of local and national performing artists.

Discover and enjoy loads of music, workshops, kids’ activities, join-in sessions, spoken word, storytelling, street performers and much more.

 Music lovers will be treated to music from The Angelicats, Tall Boys, Josh Maynard, Stella Delmenico, Grumpy Neighbour, Georgia and Garry Rose, The Narrownecks, Rare Child, Harmaniax, and Moosejaw Rifle Club, to name a few! Dance to the Blackberry Jam Bush Band at the Australian Bush Dance on Market Street and experience cross-cultural dance moves with The Galata Express. Join a music workshops, and bring the kids to see The Concerteenies - a classical program specifically directed to toddlers and their parents.

Over at the Substation, Music for a Warming World brings music and climate change together, and Newport Strings and our local choirs will take you back to the truly ‘unplugged’ roots of music.

 There’s so much to discover at this popular local festival.

Neon Dog Park

29th June to 8th July

One of the hits  from White Night 2018 was neon Dog Park and its coming to Williamstown. Created by melbourne visual artist Carla O'Brien, Neon Dog Park is a playful arts installation of furry friends using neon lights. Set in the beautiful waterfront location, Nelson Place, you'll want to grab the kids, the dog, a coat, camera, and enjoy a family night out.
