Life on a Plate: Recipes and Stories From Hobsons Bay

Cultural Diversity Week

17 - 28 March

Cultural Diversity Week in Hobsons Bay is a week of fun and engaging cultural activities, programmed to encourage people to come together, share aspects of their culture, faith and language, and celebrate the cultural richness of our community. The program offers something for everyone from food tasting to cultural games; traditional craft lessons to film screenings. The activities are free and many are child friendly. Newport Folk and Fiddle Club Bush Dance 

Sunday 18 March

Join in this free family event with the highly respected Newport Fiddle and Folk Club in its annual celebration of music and environment along with Strings West & The Take Note Youth Choir, the Angelicats, plus lots of dancing. Supported by Friends of Newport Lakes. Bring a picnic. Kids welcome. Held between 3pm and 6pm at Newport Lakes Amphitheatre , enter off Mason Street and follow the signs. Take My Hand: Manal Younus

Manal Younus is a Naarm/Melbourne based freelance storyteller. The 10th Annual Melbourne Latin Festival
