Step Back in Time with Williamstown Heritage Walking Tours - FREE event 

1st September to 28th November

No New Noise by the Australian Creative Music Ensemble 

Friday 6 October

Presented by The Substation and Melbourne Festival.No New Noise is the inaugural program by the Australian Creative Music Ensemble, a new contemporary collective focused on improvising and showcasing the next generation of creative musicians and composers. Three composers respond to this provocative inquiry with new works for a powerhouse eight piece improvising ensemble. Exploring questions of authenticity in an age of digital reproduction. Around the Bay in a Day: Altona Beach Break

Sunday 8th October 

Around the Bay in a Day is the one day of the year where we unitie to celebrate cycling. Now in its 25th year, Around the bay has cemented its place in bike culture as Australia's biggest one-day bike ride.  The Altona route through Hobsons Bay from 9.15am to 12 noon. For more information and to register, go to : www.bicyclenetwork.com.au.

Environmental Film Festival: Remote Sense

The Environmental Film Festival returns to Hobsons Bay to host a very special event at the Scienceworks Planetarium. The film 'Remote Sense' is a unique visual and sound experience exploring the built and natural environments - a full dome experience that continually fluctuates between the real and the abstract. Welcome back to Out On The Weekend for it's third magical year. melbourne has always had a strong association with the wenty sounds of Alt-Country and American genre, so it's fitting to see such a strong presence of incredible local talent plus international stars taking the stages at the beautiful Seaworks site in seaside williamstown. Spring time has slinked on in and activity is rousingly warmer. Plastic Loaves’ windows thrust open to invite you inside The Substation for an evening to flourish together. With each space landscaped and pruned by a certified living artist, the sweet air will excrete all night with a long stem of budding performers, vocals, sounds, visuals and alluring beverages, emerging from every gap. Jokes, truths, and one or two poignant bits from acclaimed Melbourne comic, Lana Schwarcz, who survived breast cancer. Everyone hates cancer. Good. Let’s hate it together with gags, animated projections, and some characters you might meet along the way. Hilarious, poignant and frank, this is a must see for anyone who has ever found themselves lying awake at night worrying about cancer. Lovely Lady Lump reminds us of our ability to take the power back from our fears if we just laugh at them… or at least with them. Quilt Show: Lorraine Rogers

28th October to 6 November.

Quilter Lorraine Rogers showcases her unique quilts. Photographs are the basis for her patterns, she then paints & dyes her own fabrics to make truly stunning works of art.
